Last Call: M5 Pro MacBook Pro Remains at Pre-Hike Price But Not for Much Longer

It's been a few weeks since Apple announced widespread price hikes across numerous product categories, including the 2026 MacBook Pro. These new prices are now reaching third party retailers, but there remains one exception at Best Buy, which still has one model of the 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro at its pre-hike price.

You can get the 24GB/2TB 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro for $2,549.00, down from the new price of $2,999.00. This one is available in both Silver and Space Black, and Best Buy provides both in-store pick-up and delivery options at checkout.

Im still very happy with my M5 macbook max 16”. I didnt know the prices were going up, so i was very lucky, because 14 hours a later my macbook would have cost me 1090.- more.

This price increase has been a real boon for 3rd party sellers of Apple products. People who would have been sitting on the bench this time of year for the "new version" at the same price in the fall will be jumping at these good/great deals on last years products.

A great way for these retailers to clean out their inventory of older product before the new M6 products launch later in the year.

Don't get me wrong, I still hate the price increases - but there are some silver linings if you are currently in the market for certain items.

very happy and truly impressed w/ basic mba 13 w/ 16 gig 512 gig i bought for 850 year ago... I use switch($250) to drive 4 4k monitor and truly been impressed how this little guy can do as much as it can.

Honestly, I leave all huge computing part to my subscriptions..

Last years products? The Neo and Pro were barley released less than 4 months ago!

I would hope that you’re still happy with an M5 Max since it’s currently the fastest possible MacBook Pro that money can buy.
